Talent Direct Agency April Newsletter 2025
Hello Spring!
The start of 2025 has been a whirlwind, with the busy season hitting full throttle early on. As spring ushers in a fresh sense of energy, our team has been working around the clock, managing an ever-growing list of projects and clients. One of the most exciting developments has been the expansion of our UGC (user-generated content) division. The demand for authentic, relatable content has skyrocketed, and we've been booking top-tier talent while attracting new clients eager to leverage this powerful marketing strategy. With every passing day, it’s clear that 2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year, filled with new opportunities and a rapidly evolving landscape.
Industry Events
GET SCENE
Get Scene Studios in ATL offered a free Casting Director Workshop to our exclusive TDA Film Actors. The workshop featured Casting Director Kris Redding, one of the most respected and well liked Casting Directors in the Southeast. She has cast comedies like "Pitch Perfect 3", "The Boss", and the new comedy "Back in Action" along with thousands of commercials. Get Scene and Kris hosted a guided discussion on the business of acting and auditioning. Film and TV Agent Sabine Krausch had the opportunity to sit in as many TDA actors performed a cold read for Kris and received valuable feedback.
FILM FLORIDA “BEHIND THE LENS”
The inaugural Film Florida Behind the Lens workshop, “Prep for Success – Pre Production,” featuring Line Producer/Production Supervisor Patti Getker, was a resounding success. Held at the welcoming Dynamic Color Studios in Pompano, the event offered guests a wealth of knowledge drawn from Patti’s 30+ years of experience in the industry. This exciting new workshop series is a must-attend, with each session offering fresh speakers and topics, ensuring an extensive learning experience at every event. Insta Reel
SOUTH FLORIDA FILM FORUM
Bianka and Sabine Krausch participated in the panel discussion "The Casting Director, The Agent, and ME" at the South Florida Film Forum. This two-day event brought together panels, screenings, and activities tailored to industry professionals. The South Florida Film Forum was a collaboration between Broward County, Film Lauderdale, WEGFilms, Urban Film Festival, and Mad Arts. Prior to the panel, Film Florida hosted a lively happy hour, providing a chance for like-minded individuals to network and enjoy the atmosphere. Also joining the panel were Agent Kelly Paige (Level Talent) and Casting Director Lori Wyman. Together, these four powerhouse women shared their invaluable insights into the entertainment industry. In this interactive open forum, they answered questions from the audience and offered candid truths about the business. The key takeaway from the panel was the deep passion and respect these women hold for the talent, clients, and the industry as a whole. Special thank you to Kpress (Chef Yana) & Tasteful thoughts for contributing to the Film Florida Sponsored happy hour. Shout out to all our TDA’ers who showed up and our volunteers Lauren Parker and Eliza Benlulu.
